Overview

One studio application, from source to delivery.

Glan Audio brings audio conversion, batch processing, CD preparation, DDP and release readiness into a consistent macOS environment. Create vinyl projects in a dedicated workspace.

Original files are read without modification. Every conversion writes to a separate destination, measures what it produced and documents it — so the master you deliver is the master you approved.

The core promise: precision conversion with quality control at every stage. Measurements are never invented, source evidence is never overwritten, and a job is complete only when written outputs and their verification have finished.

Mastering studios

Convert, dither and deliver CD, DDP and high-resolution masters with a documented signal path and a verification report for every file.

Labels & distributors

Process entire catalogues folder by folder, keep albums organized, and carry CUE, EAC log, AccurateRip and artwork evidence with each release.

Audio engineers & archivists

Prepare source material, audition tracks and review measured listening hints before signing off a delivery.

Workflows

Connected workspaces. One standard of integrity.

The documentation below mirrors the application's left-hand navigation. Each workspace lists what it does, its key functions, the files it handles and how quality control applies inside it.

AUDIO INTEGRITY · ALWAYS
01 · AUDIO PROCESSING

Core conversion, measured end to end.

Import files, a folder or a CUE album, run Analyze, review Audio Insights, set the signal path and convert. The per-track queue shows format, duration and status for every source, and each converted file carries its own verification report.

64-bit float WAV supports high-precision master exchange. Choose the delivery format and final bit depth for the destination; CD delivery remains 44.1 kHz / 16-bit.

Key functions
  • Source / Album — Add Files, Add Folder, Add CUE or drag and drop; selection checkboxes control what is processed.
  • Analyze populates Audio Insights with whole-source measurements and a sample-rate conversion recommendation.
  • Signal Path — INPUT → PROCESS (Sample-rate conversion, dither, gain, Auto Black) → OUTPUT (PCM or DSD, format, sample rate, bit depth).
  • Mini Player — audition one Track or a continuous CUE Album, independent of conversion, with output true-peak meters.
  • Convert with processing Pause / Stop, elapsed and remaining time, and optional shut down when complete.

  • Converted files go into a named profile subfolder (for example WAV-44.1-16) under your chosen output root.
  • Existing outputs and verification reports are never silently replaced.
Quality control in this workspace
  • Source files verified — container identity is recognized by validated content, and decoded frame counts are checked before measurements are published.
  • Measurements — Integrated LUFS, True Peak, Crest factor and RMS for every source, shown per album and per selected track.
  • Conversion plan — the exact target (e.g. PCM · 44.1 kHz · 16-bit · WAV) is previewed before you convert.
  • Items to review — measured listening hints for full-scale samples, sustained silence, channel imbalance and strong negative correlation.
  • Per-file verification report written alongside each output, with an album summary on completion.

Vinyl project creation

Build the album.
Shape each side.

Create a vinyl project around the album: organize Side A and Side B, review the running order and prepare a clear handoff to the cutting engineer.

Side A / Side B

Bring track sequence, side organization and side durations together in a dedicated project workflow.

Master preparation

Keep source identity, project decisions and delivery requirements alongside the audio. Use 64-bit float WAV masters where required by the workflow.

Cutting-studio handoff

Prepare audio, running order and project notes around the receiving studio’s specifications, with the cutting engineer’s requirements in view.

BUILT WITH FLOOT

Architecture overview. Project synchronization carries structured evidence without local filesystem paths. Asset uploads and connected-storage transfers are separate operations; synchronizing a project does not by itself upload its source audio.

01 / FINGERPRINT

Release DNA

A canonical manifest captures material release data: track order, identifiers, technical formats, hashed assets, verification evidence, DDP structure and processing lineage. Stable key ordering and SHA-256 produce a reproducible release fingerprint.

02 / APPROVAL

Approval Lock

Client approval belongs to the revision reviewed. A material change can reopen approval while preserving the historical decision. Current working DNA is compared with the approved fingerprint so an earlier approval cannot silently cover a changed release.

Reviewed revision ↔ current release
03 / CHANGE CONTROL

Revision Delta

Before-and-after comparisons identify changes in audio evidence, metadata, track order, artwork, technical format, verification, original-rip evidence, deliverables and DDP. Engineers can see what changed between the working state and a frozen revision.

Added · removed · changed
04 / CLIENT REVIEW

A frozen review snapshot

Review links capture a revision with track sequence, target format, verification summary and artwork. Clients can approve or request changes. The implemented flow supports handwritten signatures bound to the snapshot hash, expiring links and owner revocation.

Snapshot hash · decision · signature
05 / PREFLIGHT

Readiness with reasons

Server-side rules evaluate source availability, identifiers, format consistency, verification coverage, artwork, sequence, deliverables and approval. A release can show Needs Attention, Awaiting Client or Ready for Delivery, with specific blockers.

Deterministic rules · no AI decision
06 / PROVENANCE

One project, linked artifacts

The desktop bridge retains project identity across processing modules. Artifact UUIDs, parent relationships, module origins, format fields and available SHA-256 hashes describe how each output relates to its source.

DDP-AWARE CLOUD EVIDENCE

The structure travels
with the release.

ReleaseReady receives the effective DDP edit state: exact INDEX 00/01 and additional indexes, track ends, pregaps, ISRC, UPC/EAN, CD-Text, PQ state and component hashes. DDP structure participates in Release DNA, change detection and readiness checks.

AUDIO INTEGRITY · ALWAYS

Quality control at every stage.

QC in Glan Audio is not a final pass you remember to run. It is always on — built into import, analysis, planning, processing, writing and delivery — and it produces measured, technical evidence you can review and keep.

STAGE 1 · SOURCE

Source verification

Before anything is converted, every source is proven to be what it claims to be.

  • Validated containers — format recognized by content, not extension.
  • Identity & frame count checked before a measurement is published.
  • Clipping detection — full-scale samples counted against the real bit depth.
  • Evidence — CUE layouts, EAC logs and AccurateRip results checked against the album.
STAGE 2 · MEASURE

Whole-source measurements

Analyze measures complete source files — per track and as album ranges.

IntegratedLUFSK-weighted loudness
True PeakdBTP4× oversampled estimate
CrestdBPeak-to-RMS
RMSdBFSPer channel
STAGE 3 · PLAN

Conversion plan preview

The current output plan is shown separately from the measured Sample-rate conversion suggestion, so you always know exactly what will be written.

  • Container, sample rate, bit depth, Sample-rate conversion profile, dither and gain in one line.
  • Source measurements are retained when target settings change — they are never relabelled as output measurements.
STAGE 3 · REVIEW

Listening-hint flags

Measured hints tell you where to listen. Selecting a hint selects the associated track in the queue.

  • Full-scale samples at the positive and negative rails.
  • Sustained silence — both channels below −80 dBFS for two seconds or more.
  • RMS imbalance or a near-silent channel.
  • Strong negative correlation between channels.
STAGE 4 · PROCESS

In-process verification

  • Processing checks — output overloads and verification state are recorded.
  • Quantizer overloads and clipping samples counted on output.
  • Auto Album gain — every track must pass at one common gain before any track is written.
  • DSP validation recorded with DSP version and filter description.
STAGE 5 · WRITE & DELIVER

Output verification

  • Post-write validation — written files are reopened and checked.
  • SHA-256 hashes for sources and outputs.
  • DDP readback of every track and gap byte; PQ and CD-Text re-parsed.
  • Disc read-back after burning.
STAGE 6 · REPORT

A report for every job

Each conversion produces verification evidence with file and album-level reports. Delivery includes the written output and its verification.

Measured evidence, honestly presented. QC is technical evidence, not an artistic verdict. Missing measurements are never invented, album values are shown as ranges across measured files, and listening hints guide your ears rather than silently rejecting music.
Conversion Reports

Proof that travels with the master.

Every converted file is accompanied by an Audio Integrity Verification report in PDF — and every album gets a summary. Reports document the source, the exact settings used, the measured output and the result of every check.

01
